How to Order
We’re sorry about that. That’s awkward. Ordered something and no clue if that request is lost in the vast cyber space… No worries though. Happens if you have a typo in your email address and other reasons too. Let us know, k?
Once you find that sweet leather item to buy, just click on “Add To Cart”. Unlike your kids, this puppy will stay in your shopping cart until you’re good and ready to check out.
When you’re ready, hover over the shopping bag icon on the top-right of the screen and select “checkout”.
As long as you typed your email address in correctly, you will receive an email with a tracking number once your item(s) have shipped. It’s quite addictive to watch your new leathery love make its way to it’s new home.
Absolutely! We’ve shipped everywhere to proud new owners from Vancouver to New York to Italy to China to Australia to Brazil and everywhere in between. Even ship to military bases abroad. Note: we’re not responsible if your new leather item gets damaged due to crossfire. We’d love a photo though!
All major credit cards are accepted as well as debit and PayPal transfers. If you live within Greater Victoria, we also accept cash and cheques. Dan might accept cookies but you’ll have to run it by Shelley first. 😉
If we happen to have a bag which stands out (scar wise), sure thing! Most of the time, they’re all quite unique in various scratches, scars or bug bites here and there so difficult to pick and choose.
We ship via the Canada Post expedited method. Once this leaves our border, it moves onto the other countries main postal service. So if shipping to the USA, it will start as Canada Post and transfer over to USPS or UPS. Tracking number will be emailed to you. Shipping ETA is 4 – 7 business days.
For a nominal fee (usually around $5), there’s an upgrade option of Xpresspost 2 – 3 business day ETA delivery.
Regular shipping ETA is 4 – 7 business days.
Xpresspost shipping ETA is 2 – 3 business days.
We sure do! Unless you’re deep in the Amazon (rainforest/jungle, not the book store). Although, I’m sure we can pay someone with a boat to bring it to you there as well.
Being that we have now shut down Isle of Vintage (due to personal health reasons), we are simply selling off our remaining inventory at a discount. Any purchases are considered “as is” and we cannot accept return requests on any products. If you feel there are any issues now or in the future, we recommend contacting a shoe repair shop for an inexpensive, sometimes free, repair.
Isn’t it great? Most people love this scent but there are others who can’t wait for it to fade. It usually sticks around for anywhere from a few days to a couple weeks or so.
We use raw, full grain goat leather on our handmade leather bags. We stick to the traditional ways of tanning which is leaving the hide under the sun with a mixture of vegetable oils. This accentuates the “earthy” or “goaty” scent.
As long as you don’t keep the leather bag in a closed in space and give it room to breathe, the scent will fade with time and use. If you want to speed it up, I hear leaving it outside for a day helps.
It wouldn’t make much sense if we didn’t promote our own product so… check our our handmade leather conditioner, Leather Balm.
We suggest cutting a piece of denim from some old jeans that no longer fit. Use that to rub on some Leather Balm and rub off onto your leather bag. A little bit goes a long way!
Yeah, might sound weird to grab your goat and head to the office but try it before your knock it.
We much prefer goat leather over other animals due to it being full grain, pliable, durable and just plain awesome quality. It ages beautifully.. like a fine 30 year old whiskey.
And hey! It’s unique. Forget all your friends who bought a polished cowhide “genuine” leather item from the mall (cough: china!).. tell them about your handmade goat leather bag.
